I received an email from Savingstar that they will shut down today (11/30).  The email says the following:

  I could not have been much more unlucky. Ended with a bonus of $18.75, hopefully the funds will transfer over to coupons.com or PayPal or whatever. I did click on that special link, so we’ll see. I’m sure companies like SavingStar and Ibotta have made thousands from those who fall short of the $20 requirement and end up forfeiting funds.

  Well, I forgot to do it by deadline, but the website is still up. I didn’t get any error messages, so hopefully the money makes it to my bank account even though it’s an hour past deadline.

    I’ve been having issue getting my $6 out. I’ve had multiple conversations with their customer service team and pointed out that their link was not working yesterday so they said they will send me the money directly to paypal… we’ll see how high I need to escalate but I’m not letting it go… as I explained to them there was offer and acceptance and they changed the terms after I completed an offer which is a no-no. Hopefully I won’t have to contact their legal team.

  Provided my PayPal account info to SavingStar and contacted them several times because my balance from that app wasn’t showing up in my PayPal account or in my new coupon app. I was continuously sent the same instructions. I’m hoping the balance shows up by 12/31/2020. I’m guessing I’ve lost that balance. Unfortunate. Especially since I reached out plenty of time prior to the closing of that app.

    MAC, I believe we will be getting our money, although, I think it’s shady how coupons.com is making us jump through the hoops to get back our dinero.
