Over the last couple of months, when I go to scan a receipt to redeem a rebate, it has been a very slow process because the screen would freeze and I’d have close the app, wait a few minutes and then try it again.  This could happen two or three times before I’d be able to finally submit my receipt.  It’s very frustrating.

Then recently, when I go to redeem a rebate, the scanner will not come up to scan the receipt.  I have deleted the Savingstar app and reinstalled the app and it didn’t help.  My iPhone settings are up to date.  I finally had to pull out my iPad t0 submit my receipt and my iPad is old as all get out, I was shocked that I was able to successfully submit using the old iPad.

Yes, I know that I can a submit via the Savingstar website but it’s so much easier to scan and be done.

Has anyone else had anyone problems with the Savingstar app?  Share your thoughts and feedback.

    I have been having problems for the last couple of months. I find restarting my phone seems to help, but then again it could be all in my head.

      Vera, I’ve tried restarting my phone but when I didn’t activate the Tuesday fruit/vegetable rebate that helped allot.

    I have been having problems too. If I go out of the app and then go back in it seems to help.

    My iPad mini cannot open the app for 3 weeks. It freeze on the SavingStar logo. I tried remove the app from the iPad and reinstall, but it is no help.

      SL, when I opened my iPad, it said that it had not been updated in 50 weeks so I suspect that when S* updated their software is when we started having problems. SL try going into the app later at night, I seem to have more success when less people are on the app.
