The challenge is to spend no more than $5 out of pocket at CVS using coupons and EBs (Extra Bucks). Make sure that you have a CVS loyalty card and scan your CVS card at a CVS scanner prior to taking your goodies to the cash register b/c you may save more money! Also, hopefully, you have bought a couple of the Sunday newspaper to get you going. See my previous post for a full preview of the CVS deals.
My CVS $5 scenarios:
Scenario #1
Buy 3 Hallmark or American Greetings Cards (.99 each) $2.97
Use -$.99 B2G1 Hallmark card, max $2.50 (CVS manufacturer coupon), CVS Winter Reinventing Beauty Magazine
or -$3/3 CVS Hallmark $1.99 or more Printable
Total after coupon used = $1.98
EB Earned = $3 Extra Bucks
Scenario #2
Buy 4 Progresso soup 18-19oz $6
Use -$3 Extra Bucks (from scenario #1)
Use -$1/4 Progresso soups, SS 12/09
Total after coupons used = $2
EB Earned = $1 Extra Bucks
Total Value = $8.97 – OOP doing all scenarios = $3.98 with $1 in EBs remaining! You can do one or two of the scenarios and get a great deal!
