CVS $5 Challenge

The challenge is to spend no more than $5 out of pocket at CVS using coupons and EBs (Extra Bucks). Make sure that you have a CVS loyalty card and scan your CVS card at a CVS scanner prior to taking your goodies to the cash register b/c you may save more money! Also, hopefully, you have bought a couple of the Sunday newspaper to get you going. See my previous post for a full preview of the CVS deals.

My CVS $5 scenarios:

Scenario #1

Buy 1 Advil Children’s Suspenion Liquid 1oz $2.37
Use -$1.50/1 off Advil Children’s item (Facebook) Printable

Total after coupon used = $.87

EB Earned = $2.37 Extra Bucks

Scenario #2

Buy 1 3M Command hook single pk $.99
Buy 1 Starbucks Refreshers 12 oz $1.50
Buy 1 Glade Scented Oil Base Warmer $1.25
Buy 1 Scooby Doo Fruit Snacks 8 oz $2

Total = $5.74

Use -$2.37 Extra bucks (from scenario #1)
Use -$.50/1 Command product RP 11/11

Use -$1 Starkbucks Refresher Printable
Use -$1 Glade PlugIns Scented Oil warmer SS 11/4

Total after coupons used = $.87

EBs Earned = $5.74 – $.99 3M, $1.50 Starbucks, $1.25 Glade and $2 Scooby

Buy 1 Coke 1.25 liter bottle $.99
Buy 1 Haviland Thin Mints or Nips candy $.88
Buy 1 Kraft Mac & Cheese 5.5 – 7.25 oz $.99
Buy 1 Starbucks Double Shot 6.5oz single can $1.99
Buy 1 Charmin Basic (Single Roll) $.99

Total = $5.84

Use -$5.74 in Extra Bucks (from scenario #2)

Total after coupons used = $.10

EB Earned = $5.84- $.88 Candy, $.99 Coke, $.99 Mac & Cheese, $1.99 Starbucks and $.99 Charmin

Total Value = $13.95 – OOP doing all scenarios = $1.84 with $5.84 in EBs remaining! You can do one or two of the scenarios and get a great deal!
