CVS $5 Challenge

The challenge is to spend no more than $5 out of pocket at CVS using coupons and EBs (Extra Bucks). Make sure that you have a CVS loyalty card and scan your CVS card at a CVS scanner prior to taking your goodies to the cash register b/c you may save more money! Also, hopefully, you have bought a couple of the Sunday newspaper to get you going. See my previous post for a full preview of the CVS deals.

My CVS $5 scenarios:

Scenario #1

Buy 1 Blistex Moisture Melt or Five Star Lip Protection $2
Use -$.55/1 Blistex Moisture Melt, Cold & Allergy lip soother, Five Star lip portection, Complete Moisture or lip ointment, SS 11/11

Total after coupon used = $1.45

EB Earned = $1 Extra Bucks

Scenario #2

Buy 1 Zantac 150 24ct. or Zantac 75 30ct. $8.99
Use -$1 Extra bucks (from scenario #1)
Use -$5/1 Zantac SS 11/11/12

Total after coupons used = $1.99

EBs Earned = $2 Extra Bucks

Scenario #3

Buy 3 Hallmark or American Greeting Cards $5.97
Use -$2 Extra Bucks (from scenario #2)
Use -$3/3 American Greetings Card Printable (zip 95050)
or -B2G1 Hallmark card, max $2.50 (CVS manufacturer coupon), CVS Winter Reinventing Beauty Magazine

Total after coupons used = $.97

EB Earned = $3 Extra Bucks

Total Value = $16.96 – OOP doing all scenarios = $4.41 with $3 in EBs remaining! You can do one or two of the scenarios and get a great deal!
