CVS $5 Challenge

CVSThe challenge is to spend no more than $5 out of pocket at CVS using coupons and EBs (Extra Bucks). Make sure that you have a CVS loyalty card and scan your CVS card at a CVS scanner prior to taking your goodies to the cash register b/c you may save more money! Also, hopefully, you have bought a couple of the Sunday newspaper to get you going. See my previous post for a full preview of the CVS deals.

My CVS $5 scenarios:

Scenario #1

Buy 1 Soft Scrub Cleanser 24-25.4oz $2
Buy 1 Good’n Natural Energy Bar 2oz $.99
Buy 2 Stayfree $7.98

Total = $10.98

Use -$1 Soft Scrub Printable
Use -$.99 Free Good’n Natural bar, max $1.50, RP 1/06
Use -$3.99 BOGO Stayfree product, max $4.49, SS 1/06

Total after coupon used = $1

Get Back a $1 Soft Scrub Savingstar

Scenario #2

Buy 1 Bayer A1C Now Diabetes Meter $9.99
Use -$7/1 Bayer A1C Now Printable

Total after coupon used = $2.99

EB Earned = $9.99 Extra Bucks

Scenario #3

Buy 2 ROC Facial wash $19.98
Buy 1 Good n Natural Bar $.99

Total = $20.97

Use -$9.99 Extra Bucks (from scenario #2)
Use (2) -$3 ROC Products SS#2 1/6
Use -$.99 FREE Good n Natural Bar, max $1.50, RP 1/06

Total after coupons used = $3.99

EB Earned = $17 Extra Bucks

Total Value = $40.95 – OOP doing all scenarios = $7.98 with $17 in EBs remaining and a $1 Savingstar Rebate! You can do one or two of the scenarios and get a great deal!
