CVS $5 Challenge

CVSThe challenge is to spend no more than $5 out of pocket at CVS using coupons and EBs (Extra Bucks). Make sure that you have a CVS loyalty card and scan your CVS card at a CVS scanner prior to taking your goodies to the cash register b/c you may save more money! Also, hopefully, you have bought a couple of the Sunday newspaper to get you going. See my previous post for a full preview of the CVS deals.

My CVS $5 scenarios: (CVS Preview 2/10 – 2/16)

Scenario #1

Buy 2 Halls cough drops 17-30ct $3
Use -$1/2 Halls Drops, 17 ct. +, SS 1/06 (exp 02/11) or SS 2/3

Total after coupons used = $2

EBs Earned = $1 Extra bucks

Scenario #2

Buy 1 Colgate Optic White Rinse 16oz $4.99
Buy 1 Colgate MaxClean, MaxWhite or MaxFresh toothpast6oz $3

Total = $7.99

Use -$1 Extra Bucks (from scenario #1)
Use -$1 off Colgate Optic White mouthwash, 8 oz + (regional), SS 2/03
Use -$.50 off Colgate SS 2/10
Use -$2.50 off Colgate MaxClean, MaxWhite or MaxFresh toothpaste CRT (from Redbox)

Total after coupons used = $2.99

Ibotta Earned = $1 Colgate Optic White Rinse Ibotta

EB Earned = $2 Extra Bucks

Scenario #3

Buy 2 Right Guard Total Defense 5 Clear stick “Cool Peak” $2.28 (on clearance – YMMV)
Use -$2/2 Right Guard Printable

Total after coupons used = $.28

EBs Earned = $4 Extra Bucks

Total Value = $13.27 – OOP doing all scenarios = $5.27 with a $1 Ibotta and $6 in EBs remaining and a $3 Ibotta Rebate! You can do one or two of the scenarios and get a great deal!
