CVS $5 Challenge !

CVSThe challenge is to spend no more than $5 out of pocket at CVS using coupons and EBs (Extra Bucks). Make sure that you have a CVS loyalty card and scan your CVS card at a CVS scanner prior to taking your goodies to the cash register b/c you may save more money! Also, hopefully, you have bought a couple of the Sunday newspaper to get you going. See my previous post for a full preview of the CVS deals.

My CVS $5 scenarios: (CVS Preview 4/28 – 5/4)

Scenario #1

Buy 1 Hershey’s or Mars Candy Bar $.99
Buy 1 Zyrtec Allergy 5ct $6

Total = $6.99

Use -$.99 Hershey’s or Mars CRT (from Redbox)
Use -$6 Zyrtec RP 4/28

Total after coupon used = FREE

Scenario #2

Buy 1 Crest or Scope 4.1-6oz, 3D White Pro-Health 5.8-6oz, Clinical 4oz, Pro-Health 250-500mL, Clinical rinse 5-16oz or Glide floss 1pk $3.49
Use -$1 off Crest PG 3/31

Total after coupon used = $2.49

EB Earned = $1 Extra Bucks

Scenario #3

Buy 2 Right Guard, Dry Idea Deodorant or Total Defense body wash 13.5oz $6
Use -$1 Extra Bucks (from scenario #2)
Use (2) -$1.50 off Right Guard Xtreme deodorant or body wash, RP 4/07

Total after coupons used = $2

EB Earned = $1.50 Extra Bucks

Total Value = $16.48 – OOP doing all scenarios = $4.49with $1.50 in EBs remaining! You can do one or two of the scenarios and get a great deal!
