CVS Coupon Policy

I was watching a Youtube video about a CVS Haul and the youtuber mentioned that if you receive a CVS Coupon (CRT) from the Redbox Scanner and the item is out of stock, you should get a raincheck and clip the raincheck, the CVS Coupon and the sales insert together and if the coupon expires, it is CVS Policy to accept any expired CRT when item is out of stock.

I have never heard that ever and I have been doing deals at CVS every since they came to San Diego.  So, I looked at the CVS Policy and there was no such verbiage.  However, this maybe some unknown idiosyncrasy of CVS that I may not be aware of and missing out one some deals, so I do plan to ask a CVS Manager if it is true.

It never hurts to ask your store manager will they honor an expire CRT if the item in out of stock.  It also gives you an opportunity to ask does your store accepts expire CVS coupons.  I do know that when I was avid CVS Girl, the Pt Loma CVS use to accept expired CVS Coupons but I don’t know of any other CVS store in San Diego that does.

Unfortunately, Point Loma isn’t as forgiving as they once were. I think in general most SD area stores have been “cracking down” on expired CVS q’s. Not too long ago, I had a $2.50/1 item q and the cashier said they don’t accept exp q’s anymore and he offered me $2 off instead. HUH? It kind of cracked me up. LOL! 🙂

Both CVS stores in Pt Loma has changed allot over the last 5 yrs. I remember when they were both Long’s Drugstores and when they switched to CVS, they use to have some awesome deals and staff! Not so much nowadays at both Pt Loma stores, I have had run-ins with the employees.
