How did I run out of pasta?

So, yesterday, it was cold in San Diego, I woke up and it was 48 degrees and when I finally got out for my walk, it was 51.  A perfect cold day dinner is spaghetti with salad and garlic bread.

I made the spaghetti sauce first and then I got a call.

I finished the call and I then grabbed the pot and put water into water, I added a little oil and salt to the water and then I went to grab the spaghetti pasta out of the cabinet and there was none to grab.

I looked at every inch of cabinets and we are completely out of spaghetti pasta.

In looking back to when we first go quarantined, we had to eat all meals at home and we must have ate a lot of spaghetti but typically, I don’t wait until we use the last box to replenish our supply of spaghetti.

Normally, we would see a lot of dry pasta and spaghetti sauce deals but with the pandemic, everything is upside down.

Where is the $0.99 Ragu sales?  Where is the $0.59 pasta sales?

The grocery stores have been concentrating on getting paper goods on the shelves but we still are going to want cold weather foods like spaghetti, chicken fried steak with gravy, meatloaf and mashed potatoes with green beans.

Thankfully, I had the veggie spirals in the freezer that save the evening

Time to stock up on pasta and other dry goods.

I think Ralphs has spaghetti for .49 when you buy 10 or more this week.

I hope my influence isn’t rubbing off on you! Early one morning I prepared the coffee and pressed the button to brew. I couldn’t wait for the first cup! But when I came back 5 minutes later there was nothing in the pot. Forgot to add the water! 🤓

Idk if you have any hispanic groceries near you, but I know I’ve seen the Pagasa pasta on sale for 20 cents over the past few weeks.

Gavin, I’ll have to check out the Hispanic grocery stores. Thanks!
