I am not ready for the panic buying

My middle brother had texted me the article, Stores are preparing for a second wave of panic buying — and you should, too to read because he wanted to make sure that we are stocked up on necessities.

I still remember walking into Ralphs on March 14, 2020 and the Meat Department had been decimated, the only meat left on the shelf was the veggie burgers.  All the seafood, bacon, sausage, beef, pork, chicken, lamb was gone.

Even I had read that there’s been a run on the pumpkin pie filling so whatever it is that you traditionally have for your Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, I’d be grabbing any non-perishable food items.  For example, I always use a boxed stuffing mix for Thanksgiving, you already know that I’m picking it up today.

If you do a lot of baking then stock up on flour, sugar, vanilla, butter, nuts, chocolate chips, etc. before that stuff vanish.

When we go into another lockdown, people are going to be at home cooking and baking.

Get your list together and start getting the must-have necessities now before the panic buying begins!

I was lucky enough to get a $5 off $10+ digital from Walgreens this week and saw cans of their brand disinfecting spray this evening. I felt like I had won the lottery. Grabbed 2 @ $4.99 each with a $1 roll of paper towels and almost whistled as I left the store less a little over $6. Do not hesitate with a good offer on items like this. Empty shelves are coming.

Nick, you got an excellent deal especially using the $5 off $10. I’m grabbing the disinfectant sprays as I see them because I can see already that our great nation is going to be overwhelmed with COVID19 cases and I’m spraying down everything so we don’t get it!
