I Gathered Up all of my Target Gift Cards

I finally took the time to gathered up all of my Target gift cards and add them to my Target Wallet on the Target app.  I had $94.66 between the six gift cards.

Now, I’m ready to do any Target deals without trying to figure out how much money I have left on each card!

The Target Service Desk no longer combines gift cards to one card (Thanks, Cheryl!).

Target stopped combining gift cards at service desk over 2 years ago

I never combine GCs because once you reach just under $10 you can cash them out for cash!

True, you can cash out the gift cards in California.

I know the Cali state law allows customers to cash out up to $10 in gift cards. In my state the rule is only up to $5. And even that low, stores frown upon whenever i’ve tried cashing out a gift card. I had $2.xx on Best Buy egift card that I had printed out on a paper and they refused, stating the rule is only valid for physical cards. A customer in front of me tried to “return” a promotional Target gift card (granted, I didn’t hear what was the value) and they refused. Walgreens also considers store credit card as not a gift card and refuse to cash out. All of them holding on to their pennies.
