I Get Excited Over a Small Savings

My brother’s birthday is July 20th and I always get him a birthday gift from Amazon because of the Amazon Prime Day is a few days before his birthday.

Yesterday, it struck me that I still had a few points that I maybe able to redeem for an Amazon card and I had just enough to get a $3 Amazon card.  I redeemed my points and almost immediately, I received the code in my email.

I used the $10 Amazon credit that I had earned at Whole Foods and my $3 Amazon on my brother’s gift!

I think that I will be opting for an Amazon gift card more often since I know that I will getting Christmas gifts at Amazon, too.

I think the online Visa codes are a better value for those points as far as choosing from their rewards. And you can also use these on Amazon or anywhere else online.

I only had enough points for Amazon and yes, you can get a bigger bang for your bucks my accumulating your points for a bigger rewards. I have used my points for Visa gift cards, too.

It’s not just because of accumulating points; Amazon $10 card = 1580 points, Visa online $10 card = 1500 points. The Visa gift cards are cheaper and more versatile.
