Yesterday, a lot people on Instagram had said they were locked out their Ibotta account for an account review. Running Kimono on YouTube talks about how to get your account unlocked.

Again, it’s important for you to cash out on a regular basis so that Ibotta isn’t holding your bag.

If you get locked out of your Ibotta account, do not continue to shop for Ibotta deals until your account is unlocked.

  Ms. B. is of course right once again. I seem to recall this happening to me in February of last year. I believe I had over $80 in my account at the time just sitting there (and of course earning zero interest for my time). The lockout is a total downer and to correct it will take several days which seem like months. Note this is NOT the same as pending jail when you redeem an offer but payment is delayed. Ibotta will eventually apologize and pay you. But the sooner you get that support ticket in the better!

    I’ve been locked out of my account, at least, once and you are right, it feels like months while you wait for them to audit your account when it’s actually a few days.😂

  I feel Ibotta is not transparent enough. What does it mean to have the account review? What safety is necessary if the rebate was approved previously.
  I read on IG that some people had their Fetch accounts closed for rules violations without explanation what raised red flags.
  Makes me so reluctant to buy stuff I don’t need.

    I feel that when they lock an account that you should tell you the exact reason why your account is locked. My Fetch account was recently suspended for about week saying that I had unusual activity and the only thing I did was redeem a freebie and cashed out for a gift card.
