My Trip to CVS

IMG-20130119-01020It was hot as all get out today, it was somewhere in the 70’s.  Just a few days ago, it was freezing cold.  Anyways, I was a couponing fool at CVS, I did multiple transactions to get the biggest bang for my buck!  Everything pretty much went as planned…except for my first transaction. I bought 4 Duracell batteries for $23.96…and out pops a $10 CVS Cash Card!!! I had nothing else in my transaction and I have not gone shopping at CVS, this week. Odd???

The picture above is both CVS and Rite Aid trips.  I am writing just one post for my CVS trip in order to save time.  I’ll do another post for my Rite Aid trip with the same pic. 🙂

Here are my gets at CVS:

Bought 2 Scott Bath Tissue $14.98
Bought 12 Duracell Batteries $71.88
bought 2 Glade PlugIns $8
Bought 3 American Greetings Greeting Cards $2.97
Bought 2 Kellogg’s Corn Pops $4
Bought 2 Hershey’s w/Almond Bars $2
Bought 2 Dove Chocolate Bars $.50
Bought 1 Rimmel Mascara $3.99 (on 50% clearance)
Bought 2 Coke 12pk $7.16

Total = $115.48

Used (5) -$4/$20 CVS Coupon
Used (2) -$1.25 Scott Bath Tissue Printable
Used (2) -$2 CVS Scott Bath Tissue Printable
Used (12) -$2 Duracell Batteries RP 12/9
Used (2) -$2 Glade PlugIns (on coupons.com)
Used -$2/3 American Greetings Printable
Used -$1/2 Kelloggs Printable (don’t where I got it)
Used (2) -$4.99 FREE Coke Coupon (from My Coke Rewards)
Used -$30.99 Extra Bucks

Total after coupons used = $17.01 (paid w/gift cards)

EBs Earned = (3) $10 CVS Cash Card and a $3 Greeting Cards

MIR Earned = $10 P&G Duracell Battery Rebate

Notes: I had (4) $10 CVS Cash Cards from last week and I used two $10 CVS Cash Cards today. I only have one $3 Extra Bucks that’s all the Extra Bucks I have to my name!!!!!!!! I got hot, tired and hungry but I will finish up later tonight and get the other (2) $10 CVS Cash Card and get more Duracell Batteries so I can submit for a $25 Duracell Rebate.  Also, I gotten a $5 Beauty Bucks but used it on one of the transactions.  At CVS, coupons for FREE items and BOGO coupon always auto-deducts the max value unless the cashier manually reduces down…my cashier let it ride! 🙂

Also, one store had $10 of coupons inside the Duracell Batteries.  I’ll write a separate post about those coupons.

great trip! btw, i don’t know where to post this, but my store had crunch bars that were labeled 2 for $1 on the package for only 25 CENTS! i bought a ton of them. another store only had the ones that were regular price and they weren’t on sale. those of you who have these specially marked ones in ur cvs may want to do a price check 😀
