This transaction is not for the faint of heart or if you are on a tight budget. To see if you got the Paypal offer, you can check online at My Weekly Ad under Household to see if you got a Paypal Prepaid Card wyb $150 get $50 Extra Bucks.
I went to CVS and bought a Paypal Prepaid Card for $150 plus a $4.95 activation fee and a $50 Extra Bucks printed on my receipt.
Then I came home and got on my computer and went to paypal.com/prepaid to activate the card and created a four digit PIN number. I did not register the card.
I then went back to CVS and withdrew $140 (can only withdraw in denomination of $20), I did not realize at the time but I got charged a $1.95 fee when I made the withdrawal.
My intent was to buy Jif Peanut Butter, 2 Nabisco Chocolate Chip Cookies and Smuckers Jam but the Paypal debit card was decline b/c the $1.95 fee. CRAP!!!!!!
I had the cashier remove one of the cookies and the Paypal went through.
I tried to call the 800 number on the card to cancel it but the customer service was already closed. I will be on the phone to customer service first thing in the morning to CANCEL the card before it start accumulating any kind of fees.
So, my total out of pocket is $6.90 so a $42.55 Money Maker!!!!!!! I still have $.55 still on the card but I am going to let that go.
The Paypal card acts as a debit card so you can go to the grocery store and buy food, pay your cable bill or whatever you want or you can roll it and buy the Gap, Old Navy or Banana Republic Gift Card at CVS and get a $25 Extra Bucks!
