My Trip to CVS…Again!

A reader, Jessica, had read my earlier My Trip to CVS post and she commented that the CVS ad had excluded the L’Oreal Voluminous mascara or primer from the L’Oreal Buy 2 get $6 ECB limit 3.  However, yesterday, I watched a CVS Haul video on YouTube and the girl had bought the mascaras and got back the Extra Bucks and I bought the mascaras on Sunday not knowing about the exclusion.

This evening, I quickly grabbed my keys and went back to CVS to try to deal again on my other card and that card had a $6 off $30 coupon plus I had ECBs. I bought six mascaras and got back a $18 ECB.  I didn’t have any cosmetics CVS coupons but check your CVS account and clip any cosmetics or mascara digital coupons that you think might apply and head to CVS.

My purchase will qualify me for a $3 Beauty Bucks and the FREE Mascara CVS coupon when you buy 5 mascaras!!!  The mascara will make a great Christmas gift for any girl that wears mascara!

Thanks, Jessica!

    Welcome! 🙂
And thank you – for the Physicians Formula deal!

    So, what was your scenario?

I still had my $8 ECB from the Crest Therapy & Gum Money Maker and I also had the $8 ECB from the Physicians Formula plus, I had the $6 off $30 coupon and I knew I’d get back and $18 ECB and $3 Beauty Bucks and the FREE Mascara coupon. This was my math on the fly! 🙂

Hi, I came across your blog from back in January of 2019 in which you were explaining coupon inserts going away. You mentioned that you purchased from San Francisco and Sacramento. I usually get my inserts from the Sacramento Bee by purchasing at the Dollar Tree. I am new to couponing but noticed that I rarely receive the P&G coupons inserts. Do you have any idea whether Sacramento only includes P&G inserts once a month or what happens to be the schedule?

Hi Liz, I grew up in Fair Oaks. Typically, the P & G only comes once a month but when but every blue moon they will put out another P & G. The San Francisco Chronicle normally has better coupons than the Sac Bee but they don’t sell the Chronicle at the Dollar Tree…maybe they do in the Bay Area. When I’m in Sacramento visiting my family, I usually can’t find the Sunday newspapers at the Dollar Tree but I find them at the $0.99 Store. In my area of San Diego, the P & G is only delivery by U.S. Mail bc thrives was stealing them at the warehouse and selling them on Instagram. You being new to couponing, I wouldn’t worry about getting the P&G because most drugstores and grocery stores have the P&G coupon come digitally and you can clip to your store cards.
