My Trip to Rite Aid…

My second transaction at Rite Aid did not go as planned.  I knew that I would have a higher OOP b/c of the GE Reveal lightbulb that I wanted.  But I couldn’t find my $3 Veet coupon…it’s around here somewhere…haven’t you heard this story before! LOL  So, I decided to swap out the Veet for the Clearasil.

The $2 Clearasil coupon would not scan and I was tired of the cashier trying to work the darn coupon so I had him remove the Clearasil.

Here are my gets at Rite Aid:

Bought 1 Nature Made Sleep Aid 30ct $10.39
Bought 1 GE Reveal CFL 100 Lightbulb $6.39
Bought 2 Oral-B CrossAction Toothbrush $5.98

Total = $23.76

Used -$5/$25
Used -$2 Nature Made Printable (must sign up)
Used -$2 Nature Made August Adperk Q
Used -$1/$10 Wellness Vitamins
Used -$3 GE Lightbulb In-Ad Q
Used -$2.99 Oral-B BOGO Q (RP 8/15)

Total = $7.77

+Up Rewards Earned = $3 (Oral-B)

Cost = $4.77

$10.39 towards Vitamin SCR and the Nature Made Magazine SCR.

1 Reveal lightbulb towards the GE Lighting SCR wyb 2.

Notes:  I didn’t realize that when I had the cashier remove the Clearasil that I had fallen below the $25 mark.  I got the more expensive GE Reveal CFL b/c I do not have good lighting in my apartment so it was worth to me to get it and I don’t mind paying a higher OOP for something that will save me money in the long run.

The reason I only bought 1 Nature Made even though it’s on BOGO is b/c I wanted a lower OOP and my 20% discount would kick in.

I’m saving my +Up Rewards for next week when there will be allot of items FREE after SCR but do not have any good Qs for these products so the Ups on those transactions.

    Let me know how you like the Sleep. It is my favorite sleep aid. Also don't forget to plug the code into the online Wellness Rewards before you throw away the box. I earned two $7 off coupons in the last two months and am on my way to a third one! The BOGO deals rack up the code pts very fast!

    Also, when a coupon won't scan, ask the cashier to try bending it, slighting down the middle so it's curving back a bit. I saw one cashier do this and told others about it. It usually gets the stubborn coupon bar codes to scan.

    DMC, how many points do you need to get a $7 off coupon?

    500 pts the first time gets you $5 coupon, and then every 500 pts after gets you $7 coupons. You can only get one reward per month. The coupons are also only good at stores you pick. I got one coupon for CVS and one for Rite Aid. I just used the one for CVS this past Friday.

    Oh also, the Rite Aid circular says the BOGO Nature Made deal this week excludes their Sleep product. CVS's circular last week never said that, but it didn't do BOGO when I checked out and they had to modify it. I don't know why the BOGO's don't count the Sleep product as a supplement.

    I still like the BOGO deals though and got Nature Made Chewable Vit D last week at Walgreens on BOGO and entered the codes in from both bottles.
