1The Stock Markets were rallying last week due to companies announcing great profits and the jobs numbers increasing.  But we all know on Main Street that allot of people are under-employed (working just part-time or working two part-times jobs)  or do not have a job at all.

I have not always had health insurance.  When I turn 21 years old and I fell off of my parents insurance, I had to go to an Urgent Care Facility in Sacramento.  When I was back home in Sacramento in February, I notice that they had allot of the “Urgent Care Facilities” which kind of made me think that are allot of folks that do not have health insurance.

I know that going to actual doctor’s office will cost you big bucks, if you do not have good health insurance.

CVS has the Minute Clinic which treats a variety of non-emergency ailments, i.e., minor injury, skin conditions, illness, Wellness and physical exams, health monitoring and vaccinations.

The Minute Clinic’s average price range from $59 to $89 which isn’t bad considering the average doctor’s office visit is between $100 to $250.

If you do not have health insurance, you may want to think about going to the CVS Minute Clinic the next time you are not feeling well.

You forgot about all the HDHP (High Deductable Health Plan) folks, too. I HAVE insurance from a large retail company but it only covers preventative care and I have to pay the first $4,000 before insurance kicks in to pay for illness or injury. This is a great reminder for minor occasions.

You are right, I didn’t think bout the HDHP and I have a co-worker that has the HDHP. Wow, $4,000 is allot money before insurance kicks in. You might as well call it Catastrophic Insurance. I have my regular health insurance and the Health Saving Plans so I should be covered if some really bad happens. I absolutely hate going to the doctor’s office b/c they keep you waiting forever and while you are waiting there are so many broke down people there that you just want to get the doctor visit over or just run away! 🙂

we had insurance but we still went to the minute clinic since it was fast and open on Sundays! We loved it. Unfortunately I moved to an area that does not have them even though we have CVS, and the only urgent care here charges more than the doctor!!!

I didn’t realize that the Minute Clinic was open on Sundays! Too bad that CVS does not have the Minute Clinic in more stores.
