In Southern California, we got about another three or four months before the cooler weather rolls in about November. However, we don’t know how bad the Coronavirus will be and if we’ll be in full lockdown. You must remember back in April and May, the grocery stores had no sales, they was selling items at the regular retail value.
We need to be stocking up now on essentials each time we get paid or using whatever store rewards we have to lower our out of pocket.
We already know how quickly toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, hand soaps, cleaning products, rice and beans quickly disappeared from the store shelves once we went into shelter in place.
Keep in mind that we will need an essentials stockpile that must last us through, at least, April or May. You also have to realize that because we quarantined at home, all day and all night, we use more toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex and paper plates because we are not using the bathroom supplies at work or at restaurants or at stores so you’ll need to calculate a higher stockpile for for paper goods and other household and food essentials.
For example, you need to figure out how much toilet paper that your household is actually using per week and calculate about 36 weeks how many packs of toilet paper you really need.
You cannot afford to wait until we are quarantined and pay full retail prices for toilet paper.
We are about to go into August and we got to stock up now. The weather will start to cool in the midwest and East coast starting in September/October and COVID19 will come with a vengeance with that cooler weather.
We must be prepared, this time around for the COVID19 and we are supposed to be hard with a nasty flu season. I got to call my health care provider to see when they will start giving out the flu shots.
Get your stockpile replenished before the next quarantine!
