Hi Tammy, completely not related to the post, but …. I wanted to ask you how do you use the Open Nature $1 coupon. It doesn’t work for yogurt or bars for .99. I usually use it on eggs but don’t need now.

      • tammy May 26, 2020, 16:13

The Open Nature and O Organics q’s must be used on items of at least $1 but if you buy something for $1.19 they will both come off.
I have used them on Open Nature sandwich bags (priced at $2.19 and after the zip advantage $0.19, and on Open Nature baby wipes which I use for my dog which are $2.39 so $0.39 after the zip advantage.

Thanks, Tammy! I only have one $1 Open Nature and couldn’t find anything priced under $2. They are either .99, or $2.99 for stuff that is anyway cheaper at Costco, haha.

The ON yogurt is priced at $1 at my Vons. As an FYI, if you have a pavillions around sometimes the prices there are higher than Vons by a few cents so you can always try there – the yogurt is priced $1.19 there for me

Tammy, thanks for helping Tina! 🙂

Tina, if you go to the search bar on the website and enter “Open Nature” or “O Organics” it will bring up all the products for that particular store and you can search by Price Low to High.

        • tina May 26, 2020, 17:32

Thanks, Roz! For some reason this option not always work for me. The search brings only items priced over $5. I spent literally hours walking around the aisles of the store in search of the best deal. Then got mad at myself for wasting my time over a $1. Clearly, there was nothing worthy as this particular brand is over priced for their supposedly more natural ingredients. I’ve been buying the brown eggs from hens that are “Cage free” priced at $3.99/dozen. What was my disappointment to see that the yolks were tiny and yellow, not even a little bit orange.

Tina, I thought l was the only one walking around trying to figure out how to use a $1 store rewards! I think I wrote a post about all eggs are not created equal. I wish I could copy & paste a list from the website into a spreadsheet bc there is quite a few items that is worth a look. You are talking about the O Organics?

    Ms. B,
Thank you for your help and guidance! Your blog is the only one I keep reading.
Open Nature is the hardest for me because I normally don’t buy their products. As I said, they aren’t organic, just supposedly “natural” to justify the higher price but the quality is not that high. I wouldn’t mind a free yogurt but in my area Safeway and Albies have the same ad and prices and since I started getting the digital $1 off, the ON yogurt is on sale for .88. 95, .99 and the digital doesn’t work. Yesterday I bought 2 packs of ON seaweed at .89. The coupon acted as BOGO and took .89 instead of $1. It didn’t work on one pack of .89. For the $1 O Organics at least I have stuff that we buy usually, as cream cheese and sour cream. They are $2.49, the coupon makes them 1.49 which for organic product is a reasonable price.

actually, even sneakier, the name of the brand is “Open Nature”. There is nothing natural about the products and because the “Nature” is in the name, even if it’s toxic and not “natural” (even though natural doesn’t mean anything) that’s ok. It would be different if they were Open Nature and then put the words “Natural” on the package but they don’t. They are super sneaky! You have to be very careful when a brand name has the word “organic” or “natural” or “nature” in it. The actual name has no relation to the claims of the product.

Tina, I don’t have the experience of shopping for Open Nature products bc I’m not an Open Nature fan. I think our cheapest Open Nature yogurt is $1, it’s expensive to live in Southern Calif. The Department coupons – Produce, Bakery and Frozen both will come off but with Open Nature being a product line only the one coupon comes off. Even when it was a $2 coupon, I’ve only had one coupon come off and it always use to over rule the $3 meat coupon.
