Plotting and Planning…

Don’t you just hate having to re-work senarios?  I have 3 coupons that expire TODAY that I must use.  I had worked out 2 senarios but both senario depended upon me getting the early edition of the Sunday paper.

Vons/Safeway did not have the early edition of the Sunday pappppppppppper, this morning!!!!!!!!!!!!

WTH?

There is another place that I know sells the early edition…but I’d have to drive across town.  Ah, no.

Therefore, I needed to re-work my senarios into one.

I’ll post my trip later today.

FYI – We had a tornado watch storm here in MD last Sunday the 25th, when those $1/10 in oral products and $1/10 in vitamins coupons expired, and when I went to two Rite Aids, both were closed due to being without power. The managers at both stores did accept these coupons for me today. I was happy, because I did in fact try to use them last Sunday. The coupons did beep, and they pushed them through per the manager.

Also, FYI – I worked late last night and didn't get to use a 7/30 exp coupon from the P&G coupon book, but it scanned today with no beeps. 🙂 I am assuming they will scan anyways, even if expired. It's worth trying, since those were some really good coupons.

Oh an plotting and planning… yup… I spend a lot of time each week to do maybe two or three trips. I wish I could do everything in just one trip, but almost all of the time certain stores are out of sale products, so I usually have to go to two or three stores to get the weekly specials. Sometimes even in the store I am plotting and planning for the next week – LOL. :Þ

Wow, DMC, a tornado watch? That must have been some storm! Thank goodness, you were able to used the expired coupons, good for that store for letting you do so!

Yeah, I guess we are all plotting and planning deals. When you are couponing, you really do have to be flexible and adjust your plans depending on stock available.

Yeah no tornado luckily hit our area last Sunday, but we did have many downed trees on many roads and power outages for a few days on some areas. Both Rite Aid stores lost power and one nearby street was closed down and had police and flares at it, because of downed trees. It was a nightmare driving to the stores through no traffic lighted intersections, only to see them closed. So I was gald they still honored the coupons. It wasn't like I didn't try. :Þ

Girl, stay home when there is bad weather! LOL I hate driving in bad weather, the roads and freeways are terrible here when we get rain…the accidents are terrible.
