Since last week, each time I go to use the Ibotta app to scan my Walmart receipts, I’m getting a weird error message “Looks like this isn’t a valid Walmart Receipt.”

Yesterday, even when I entered the TC#, I got an error message.  There was nothing wrong with the receipt, it was pristine.  The problem was the Ibotta app’s programming.  The app frozen on me and so I had to do a force shut down my phone and re-start my phone again and then the Ibotta app processed my receipt.

The problem has been only with the Walmart receipt, all the other store receipts scanned fine.

If you have a problem with a Walmart receipt with Ibotta, try doing a forced shutdown and re-starting your phone.

Ibotta CS told me to go to settings, apps and then clear cache for ibotta, the do force stop for ibotta. I have to do this almost every time I try to submit a Walmart receipt. CS said it’s a known problem with the new barcode/TC submission method but it’s been almost a month and they still haven’t fixed it completely.

It’s very irritating and no one wants it to happen if they are trying to complete a bonus. Thanks for information about settings.

I have been having trouble on my iPhone with any receipts that don’t catch an item. If I have to scan an item it scans it and then goes into spinning thinking mode and never comes out. I have had to switch to the android to submit receipts which sucks because I can only use it when I have internet.

Oh wow, Ibotta really needs to fix their programming issues.
