A reader, Daniel, let me know that my math was off, here’s what he says:

The total amount paid was $25.96 + $15.96 = $41.92.
After both transactions, you will have $20 in points, a $10 Catalina, a $25 gift card, and getting $8 cash back through iBotta (if the rebates reset). This is $63 back.
$41.92-$63=$21.08 MM.

Thanks, Daniel!

The math is off. It’s a $21.08 moneymaker. The $10 catalina is factored in twice; earning it in the first transaction and using it in the second transaction.
In transaction one, four packages are purchased for $33.96, $25.96 after coupons. $10 in points, a $10 Catalina, and $4 in iBotta is earned. ($24 total). In transaction two, four more packages are purchased for $33.96, $15.96 after coupons and the $10 Catalina. Now you receive $10 in points, a $10 Catalina, $4 in iBotta, as well as a $25 Toys R Us Gift Card.

Daniel, thank you for letting me that I screwed up the math! 🙂 I’ll update the post.

Do we know if the ibotta rebates are resetting for diapers and pull ups. I got credit for $4 doing a deal on Sunday and planning to a 3rd either today or another day once my store restocks diapers.

Peggy, hopefully the Ibotta diaper rebates did reset for you.
