Traditionally, couponers have rolled rewards to get more rewards. In my mind, we couponers have got to think differently about rolling store rewards, i.e., Extra Bucks, Bonus Cash, Register Rewards and Balance Rewards because time is not on our side because all the drugstore rewards eventually expire.
Back in December, I did the KIWI deal like three times because they were crediting the points so quickly and the very last time, I did the KIWI deal, I kinda just let those points sit in my SwagBucks and MyPoints accounts. So, when the Pura hair care deal and the Glade Car Plugins and refills deals came along, I was kinda like points rich.
I had wanted to roll the points into Visa eGift cards but SwagBucks ran out of them and I think, you have to wait until the beginning the next month to get the gift cards that you want. I ended up getting a discounted $25 Walmart eGift card for 2,200 points.
I actually rolled the $25 Walmart gift card into rebates which turns into cash. Below is what I bought with the $25 Walmart gift card.
Glade Car Plugins kit $4.88
(2) Glade Car Plugins refill $5.96
Rice Krispie Treats $1.98
PF Chang soy sauce $2.68
(3) Neutrogena on the spot treatment $14.19
-$2.99 B1G1 Glade Plugins car refill, up to $3.50, SS 02/11
-$2 off Glade Plugins car starter kit, SS 02/11
-$1 off Kellogg’s Nutri-Grain bars, Special K Bars or Rice Krispies Treats squares, 5-ct, + (850 points) coupon
-$2 off P.F. Chang’s Home Menu Sauces coupon
-$25 Walmart gift card
= $1.70 plus tax
Got Back $5 in Glade CO51 rebates
Got Back $11.15 in IB rebates
Got Back $.65 S* rebate
Got Back $10 SwagBucks points
Earned $10 MyPoints – Still have not gotten the points.
Basically, I was able to roll $16.80 from the gift into cash. Even though, I have not gotten the points from MyPoints, I am still ahead because SwagBucks gave me double points from the last time I did the Glade deal.
When deals do not go as planned, never hesitate to take the product(s) back for a refund but if it’s a $10 Money Maker versus a $19 Money Maker just keep the product – no harm, no foul.
