Safeway: Shop, Play, Win! Monopoly Game

Last year, was my first year ever playing the Safeway Monopoly game.  Safeway had been doing their Monopoly game for years prior to Albertsons buying the Safeway and it’s affiliate stores.  Safeway was headquartered in Oakland, California since like the 1920’s and there was a certain pride in having Safeway headquartered in Northern California.  In fact, I’d never even heard of a Vons grocery store until I moved to San Diego.

Anyways, the last two weeks of the game promotion, they are practically giving away the game pieces and when you accumulate enough points, you can earn store rewards, fuel rewards, free donuts, free bakery items, etc.  As you can see in the picture above, I entered a code and I won 3 tokens.

This year, I download the Shop, Play, Win app and I scan the bar code which is on one side of the game piece and on the other side, I scan the QR code which tracks the game markers.

If you enjoy the game of chance, I highly recommend that you read more about the ins and outs of the Safeway Monopoly game by reading, How To Play Safeway’s Monopoly Game…and Maybe Win Big and Safeway Monopoly Game 2020 – Shop, Play Win $250 Million in Cash & Prizes 2/5 – 5/5 for great tips and tricks.

Be sure to check your app for $1 off 1 Lysol wipes. These are a part of the Fab 5 deal for $1.49. Two came out to .86 for me, some other discount was applied. They should have come out to .98 for two. Also, the Open Nature chicken sausage are on sale for $3.99, using the $2 j4u makes them $1.99.
