Due to the National Emergency, the drugstores – CVS, Walgreens and Rite Aid should extend the expiration date on their Store Rewards.

Americans have been asked to shelter in place and stay home and the drugstores should be sending out emails to their customers saying that they are having their IT personnel to reprogram the expiration date to 60 or 90 days out.

The days that the National Emergency was announced is when the date + 60 or 90 days until expiration.

100% agree. This is completely unprecedented and it will be interesting to see which stores “do right” by their customers in the end. I’ve already received emails from 24 Hour Fitness and our local children’s museum extending my membership, so hopefully there will be some message from CVS in the coming days. Going to stores is not the responsible thing to do right now, and I’ve looked at shopping online but every time I add something to my cart, it’s removed as “unavailable” when I try to check-out. Guess we’ll see…

Kerri, you are right we are in unprecedented times and I am hoping that they all do the right thing.
