Over the weekend, I stopped by the Walmart and every line was packed to the gills and I swear every person ahead of me had some sort of issue that required the cashier to stop to answer a question. The long lines really didn’t bother me because I was chatting it up with the other customers in line me as we was all in the same boat of having to wait. The lady in front of me was buying like five or six food items so I knew it shouldn’t take her too long to check out.
When it was time for the elderly lady in front of me to be rung up, the nice young male cashier asked, “How has your day been going?” The lady said, “It’s been a rough day and I just picked up all these prescriptions.” and she raised up her arm to showed him all her medications in a see-through bag. The cashier then asked, “What can I do to make your day better?” and without missing a beat, the lady said “let me have these items for free.”
The cashier without missing a beat, pulled out his wallet and took out his ATM card came around to debit/credit key pad and he swipes his card and enters his PIN and he says “I’m not supposed to do this but I want to.”
The woman starts to pray out loud and thanking the man for his kindness.
You never know who you may touch with kindness. Walmart workers do not make allot of money and most of them do not work full-time but out of the kindness of his heart he gave without asking anything in return. He will be Blessed.
