The Red Plum is Retired

Yesterday, was the last day of the Red Plum coupon inset.  If you looked at the very top of your Red Plum, there was a message “Coming next week!  RetailMeNot Everyday, New Name. Same Great Deals.”  The Red Plum name is being retired online and the Sunday newspapers in favor of the new name RetailMeNot Everyday.

According to Coupons in the News, last year, the owner of Red Plum publisher Valassis bought Retail Me Not for $630 million.

The coupon industry itself – online, codes, paper, rebates – is huge…and this is the reason why you must have a different email addresses for the rebate apps like IB, S* and CO51, if you want to triple dip on rebates like the FREE Cup of Noodles or the FREE Country Crock Buttery Sticks. Hmmmmmm, I wonder how the rebate apps know when we redeem for a rebate? Yes, I’m being sarcastic because we know, how they know.

The website will be retired and their printable coupons will relocated to
