I knew coming out the gate that there wasn’t much I wouldn’t be getting at CVS. I don’t like working deals for like $1 Extra Buck (EB) unless the item is practically FREE. The school supplies was a no brainer b/c it was FREE after EBs received.
This also gave me an opportunity to use my 20% coupon that CVS mailed to me last week. There was talk in the Blogosphere that you couldn’t use the 20% coupon on an item that produced EBs…NOT TRUE. It worked fine.
I had to go to 2 different CVS’s b/c I couldn’t find the Dyna Engergy Shots at the North Park CVS. I didn’t want to go to every CVS in San Diego, so, I followed my instincts and went to a CVS I’ve never been to before, the one on El Cajon Blvd in City Heights. Nice folks.
Here my gets at the North Park CVS:
Bought 1 Colgate Toothpaste $2.99
Used -$1 Colgate Toothpaste (SS 9/13)
Total after coupon used = $1.99
EB Earned = $2
My gets at the City Heghts CVS:
Bought 2 Dyna Energy Shots $9.98
Used 20% CVS coupon (mailer)
Total after coupon used = $7.98
EBs Earned = $9.98
Notes: This morning, I made to the decision to pay cash instead of using my EBs. I only had $11 in EBs after loosing my stash of EBs a couple of weeks ago. Now, I’ve got $22.98 in EBs and now I am rockin and rollin!
So, my total out of pocket at both CVS’s is $9.97 and I earned $11.98 in EBs so I have a profit of $2.01.
