Today’s trip to Rite Aid…

I don’t do Rite Aid that much but I will for $7 Single Check Rebate (SCR)!  My local Rite Aid in San Diego always have low stock and although it’s in a busy location not many folks go there…probably b/c how the store is situated.  Also, the fact that there is always a security guard standing at the door.  It’s not in a bad neighborhood so I don’t what’s with the security guard at the front door?

Anyways, here are my gets at Rite Aid:

Bought 1 Scrubbing Bubbles $1.99
Bought 1 Suave Lotion $1.99
Bought 1 Prilosec 42 ct $22.99

Total = $26.97

Used -$.75 Scrubbing Bubbles (SS 8/2)
Used -$1 Suave (RP 8/2)
Used -$1 Prilosec (P&G 8/30)

Total after coupons used = $24.22

SCRs Earned = $7 ($1 Scrubbing Bubbles, $1 Suave, $5 Prilosec)

Profit = $4.77

Notes:  Are wondering how did I make a profit of $4.77?  I have a Health Savings Acct (HSA) so I get reimbursed for all over-the-counter meds.  So, I automatically subtract the $22.99 for the Prilosec and here’s my math:

$1.99 Suave
$1.99 Scrubbing Bubbles
-$1 Suave Q
-$.75 Scrubbing Bubbles Q

Total = $2.23

SCR’s Earned = $7 (remember the Prilosec)

$7 SCR – $2.23 = $4.77

I kinda like SCRs b/c my savings get deposited in the bank!!!!!!!!!
