My Trips to Target, Walgreens & CVS

The couponing Gods were with me this weekend because I went to Target and I found the Zico coconut water and as I was walking around Target, I found a $20 bill on the floor which made the Zico FREE plus a nice Money Maker! ?  I also, found a package of boneless, skinless chicken with a $5 off coupon on it plus the Pantry chicken had a 15% off Cartwheel.  I ended up getting the chicken for a little over $6!!!

I went to Walgreens and got the $.50 Barilla Ready pasta, $.99 Olay body wash and the $.29 Softsoap  hand soap and I got back 16,320 in points!!!  I got back $5 for the Walgreens Beauty Club and $6 for the Softsoap but I have not clue how I got the other $5 in points.  The Softsoap at my store was selling for $3.29.

So, on Friday, I received a 30% off CVS coupon in my mail box and I needed a new flatiron which I found out at CVS that select beauty tools get back $7 Extra Bucks. I screwed up the Garnier fructis deal. For whatever reason, the 30% off CVS coupon would not scan and the young male cashier was kind enough to apply the 30% off of my entire order manually!!!!!!!!!!!!

Conair flair $20.99
(2) Maybelline mascara $11.98
(2) Sally Hansen Complete Manicure nail polish $16.98
Garnier Fructis conditioner $3.79
Garnier Fructis anti-humidty smoothing milk $4.99

= $58.73

$3 off $15 Cosmetics CVS coupon
(2) $3 Maybelline RP 6/18
(2) -$2 Sally Hansen coupon
(2) -$2 Garnier Fructis coupon (NLA)
-$16.48 CVS 30% off coupon
-$12 in Extra Bucks

=$13.25

Got Back $12 ECB – $7 Conair and $5 Sally Hansen

Savingstar Earned $9 – $6 Sally Hansen and $3 Maybelline

For some odd reason, I did not get the $5 ECB for the Maybelline mascara so I’ll have to call CVS to get the $5 Extra Bucks.

Hi – I was unable to add a comment to your 06/18 post regarding the SoftSoap, so I’ll do it here! The ‘good’ stuff, i.e. the Hand Wash Plus Lotion is not part of the B1G1F, at least not in La Habra (OC). It costs $2.99 and if you buy 2, you get back 3000 points (there was a green sticky in front of each variety with this info on it). The regular SoftSoap costs $1.99 and is part of the B!G1F (so $1.00 each), but no points back. Too bad I couldn’t find any coupons on either one of these items 🙁

Trish, I think after 5 days, a post will stop all comments and that is to stop hackers from trying or other nefarious people from leaving funky comments. Anyways, interesting that Softsoap is regional as far as what products apply to the deal. My store has no $1.99 Soft-soap on our shelves. It was all tagged at my store and to me, the Walgreens in my area seems be much better at tagging promotional items, whereas, CVS and Rite Aid are slower to get up the tags. yes, coupons or rebates would have been nice for the Softsoap deal! 🙂

HI! Thx for the info about the comments. I’ve been meaning to ask you why I couldn’t add comments and never thought that there was a time limit on them. And CVS & Rite Aid – every time I go in on a Saturday, they’ve already taken down the on-sale stickers/price tags (or perhaps they never put them up!). At least at CVS I can go find a scanner and make sure I have the correct product, but at Rite Aid I have to wait until I get to the counter (and I don’t like surprises at the counter!!)

Trish, it’s a security measure because there are trolls and hackers out there that is looking for a weakness on any website. In fact, today, my web host moved the blog over to another server. You can always leave a comment on the newest post. Too bad that the drugstores cannot get digital tags so that as the prices change from week to the next that they hit a few keystrokes and change the prices throughout the whole store. For me, it’s not a big problem at CVS but Rite Aid, you definitely have to have your ad in hand to make sure that you have grabbed the correct product. I thought at one time Rite Aid was going to put scanners in their stores but I guess they decided against it.
