Vons/Albertsons: Lean Cuisines for $3.49

I was looking at my Albertsons accounts and I was kinda in shock when I saw a store digital coupon for the Lean Cuisine Origins Entrees for $3.49. each.  Correct me, if I’m wrong, but isn’t the $3.49 price their everyday price?  I seem to recall Vons will normally have the Lean Cuisines on sale 4/$10 or 5/$10.

What a great win for Kroger and it’s affiliates to be able to sell the Lean Cuisine frozen meals, in January, from $1.67 to $1.88 each which also happened to coincide with a $7/7 Ibotta rebate (that have reset numerous times).

Obviously, Albertsons was unable to come to an agreement with the folks at Lean Cuisine (which is part of the Nestle Company) and that’s how Albertsons and it’s affiliate stores end up selling Lean Cuisine and Stouffer’s Fit Kitchen for $3.49.

During the government shutdown, I hope that those that are not receiving a paycheck, went into a Kroger store to get the Lean Cuisine meals on the very cheap!

The Lean Cuisine ORIGINS are a separate, more expensive line of their product in a green package. I only noticed the difference a few weeks ago when there was a sale but some did NOT have the lower priced sale ticket attached. Lean Cuisine ORIGINS do count towards the Ibotta $7 back on 7 but are not included in general sales like 3/$5 or $1.88 each. However, if you get a Kroger/Ralph’s best customer coupon for a free Lean Cuisine item I’ve found it works on the higher priced ORIGINS as well!

I don’t I’ve seen the green packaging or maybe I wasn’t interested in the meals in the green packaging. Interestingly, I did receive a Best Customer catalina for a free Tostitos pasta along with a $3 off $30 catalina from Ralphs.
