Vons/Albertsons: New Digital Coupons!!!

$1 Bakery, $1 Yogurt, $1 O, $1 Produce

A reader, Growly, let us know that there is a Personalize Price on the bananas (PLU# 4011) for $0.50/lb under the Phoenix (zip 85004). We can use the Personalize Prices (PP) under other zip codes and for me, the PP for eggs, donuts and bananas are cheaper in Phoenix.

However, Trish, noted that she’d activated the bananas for $0.66/lb using her local zip and it over rode the cheaper $0.50/lb Phoenix bananas.

Thanks, Growly & Trish!

    Yogurt coupon works again!

    • Growly November 24, 2021, 11:04

Or not. Just tried Noosa ($1) and it didn’t work. It did work with Chobani ($1.50).

It appears that they raised the threshold for the yogurt coupon to work.

        • Growly November 24, 2021, 14:06

I’m going to try a few scenarios:

          – Buy two $0.50 yogurts to see if the coupon comes off. (It shouldn’t.)

          – Buy a yogurt that is barely above $1 (I saw one that was $1.29, but didn’t want to cause any more problems today) and see if coupon comes off.

What’s odd is that the coupon details show only two types of Silk yogurt qualify, when that’s clearly wrong, as I tried with a Chobani and it worked.

Just checked the Phoenix zip code, and they have the same $1 coupons. I’ve already redeemed the Oakland ones. Will they work again with the Phoenix zip codes?

          Sorry for the multiple replies.

I don’t think so. In the past, I have added the $1 coupons from everywhere, as it seems that all of their sister stores have the same coupons. The only one that works for me is the one from California.

          • Ms. B. November 24, 2021, 15:06

After Vons or Safeway or both cleaned up the Las Vegas coupon verbiage that included Southern Cal as a location, we can no longer use digitals outside of California with the exception being…PP’s.

I have not been able to add offers from other states for a couple of weeks now. A few weeks ago, I was able to add and successfully use a personalized price from a Texas zip code on a dozen eggs for $1.26 each, but after that, I have not been able to add any personalized prices for anything outside of California. It always says “Sorry, we are having issues right now”. I have tried this on multiple other family members accounts, and it says that for everyone and I’m not sure why. I guess I won’t be able to shop at Vons/Albertsons/Safeway if I go out of town.

Nevermind, I was able to fix it. I forced my VPN to connect to a server in Phoenix, AZ. After I did this, all the offers came up and I was able to clip the personalized prices. It seems like they were trying to block me by my location, which I had my VPN set to a server in Los Angeles, CA. Hmmmm…..very interesting Vons.

      • Ms. B. November 24, 2021, 15:22

Amber can tell us why you got a VPN? I thought about getting a VPN but I didn’t know enough about VPNs except that it cloak’s your location.

    • Ms. B. November 24, 2021, 15:15

Yes, Vons/Safeway/Albertsons or whoever are trying to block you. Sometimes, I have to clean out my cookies. Whats interesting is previously, when I went to Sacramento, I didn’t have to do anything, the app changed my store and location automatically but a couple weeks ago, I had to download the Safeway app and enter a zip code login with my Vons info.

What’s interesting about TX is that they are like us in that they have Albertsons AND Randalls which is their Vons.

Did anybody get the Phoenix price on the potatoes?

    • Ms. B. November 24, 2021, 15:07

      I didn’t get a PP for potatoes.
