Did the exact same thing – no 7000 points. Checking with customer rep, mentioned that I have to spend $20 after all coupons. I will check with another rep another time.

Just checking, maybe a dumb question, did you activate the offer in your account? Also, did you use any points to pay?

Valencia, good questions, not dumb at all! 🙂 Hopefully, the customer service rep ask the same questions.

Hmmmm, I thought you had to spend $20 after Walgreens coupons. Call on Monday and let us know what they say.

I had clipped the coupon before buying. I bought it 2 different cards and exact same transaction and no 7000 point. Even I was thinking it has to be $20 after Walgreens coupon and not manufacturer coupon. Will call tomorrow and update

Diana, darn it, I wonder what happened? My transaction definitely took me below $20 and I got the 7,000 pts. However, I read that there was something weird going on a Walgreens in which at some stores, the Colgate toothpaste was ringing up at BOGO50% but my toothpaste rang up for 2/$6.

At last I found out the issue. I had used Walgreens Gift Card to pay the OOP, looks like if we use GC/Balance Rewards that doesn’t consider as OOP instead that will be deducted from spending amount. This sounded crazy but true. I will go return and rebuy and pay with CC.

        • Ms. B. March 5, 2018, 16:33

Diana, OMG, that sucks that you cannot use a gift card. 🙁

Wow that’s really bad! Bad, bad walgreens! So gift card is not considered out of pocket money? They don’t give points back for purchasing gift cards and you can’t use coupons to buy them as well. This is a bad precedent.
