Re Zegerid best deals and rebates, here's what I would suggest:

Rite Aid this week 14ct $10
Less in Ad Coupon, less Video Value Ad Perk, less $3 MFC = FREE

    CVS this week 14ct $9.99
    Less $3 MFC = $6.99
Do small rebate form that came in Sunday Paper, which will only reimburse price paid = $6.99 back = FREE
Get $3 EB = MONEY MAKER

Walgreens next week 28 ct $18.99
    Less $3 MFC = $15.99
Do online guarantee refund (says one per household, but appears to be different address than rebate above and no limit of $12.99) says will refund full price paid = $15.99 back = FREE

(btw, I have not done the RR yet at Walgreens, but plan to do this next week. Do I need to register for a special Walgreen card to get RR?)

Currently, you do not need a loyalty card at Walgreens.

But there is a rumor that Walgreens will rollout a loyalty card in August or September. They are testing a loyalty card in the state of WA or OR right now.

Walgreens is tough on couponers of all the drugstores. You have to find the right Walgreens to do deals there. Also, remember the RRs expires in 2 weeks from date of purchase and you CANNOT buy the exact same item using your RR and expect another RR to print out. You have to use the RR on a different item in the store. Most "roll" their RRs on another RR item to keep them rollling.

"you CANNOT buy the exact same item using your RR and expect another RR to print out."

THANK YOU for letting me know! I would not have known otherwise. 🙂

I hope the one in DC lets me use coupons there.

I tried to use the Nature Valley SmartSource coupons at another Safeway, and they flat out refused them, and said they were counterfeit. *sigh* I am not making fake coupons!!! :S

So I just went back to the Safeway I went to first over the weekend (it is further away from my home though) and they took them again, on top of the three electronic Nature Valley coupons I uploaded onto my Safeway card (I heard you could stack on those, and apparently you can).

Grocery stores are very fickle about coupons. When I see these stories in the newspapers where a Coupon Queen got $300 worth of groceries for .98 cents using coupons, they never mention the name of the grocery store nor the location.

Yep, you can't use the same RR to buy another of the same RR item. It's a pain. You have to roll back and forth between different RR items. So, if you get an RR for Dove you have use that RR on another item in the store but not for another Dove or you won't receive another RR.

That's why I rarely do Walgreens deals UNLESS I can get the item for nearly FREE and then I'll use that RR for newspapers or some other essentials. I hate having to look for another RR item to "roll" the RR.

Also, you need a cheap filler to use an RR + MFQ at the same time, otherwise, the register will beep that you don't have enough items in your transaction. For example, if you have a $10 RR and you want to buy a $11 blow dryer NOT on RR. Let's say you have a $1 MFQ for the blow dryer. You cannot using the $1Q and the $10RR together b/c the register will beep. The registers are programmed to "see" RRs as a MFQ…and you can't use 2 MFQ on a single item.

DMC, you if you are really interested in trying a Wags deal, I highly recommend checking out the blog iheartwags.com. She also has the blog iheartcvs.com & iheartriteaid.com, too.

I believe she's outta upstate NY.
