Yesterday, a few minutes before 8 a.m., I was looking through Instagram when I saw a post about the Physicians Formula Ibotta rebates I knew that I needed to quickly post it to my blog and I needed to quickly get myself together not only did I have a scheduled appointment for 10:30 a.m., I’d need to get dressed and get my coupons and store rewards together.  I knew I was going to CVS and Walgreens because I have store rewards to lower my out of pocket.

Don’t over think deals get out there and just do it.

When I was working, I’d leave home a little earlier and stop by the store on my way to work to do a deal.  Or I’d tell my supervisor that I’d need to go to lunch early because I wanted to go pay a bill.  When I worked, I was really lucky because I pretty much take lunch when I wanted or if I needed to be gone more than two hours, I’d take sick time or vacation time or comp time because I had so much of it.

When these rebate deals come along, if you can, go for stores that you can use your store rewards.  If I had Gold Status, I would have definitely gone to Rite Aid.

First, I stopped by CVS and I grabbed a mascara and powder plus the Softsoap Liquid Hand Soap 13 oz.. After coupons, ECBs and CVS gift card, I was out of the door and into my car submitting my receipt for the rebates.  I then headed to my appointment and then got distracted.

Sometime after 5 p.m., yesterday, I realized that the Physicians Formula had disappeared (and I still hadn’t gotten credit for my CVS purchase). I quickly wrote a post and then I was off to Walgreens.  In San Diego, there are THREE Walgreens stores on University Avenue and none of the three stores had Physicians lip which means that I needed get into the rush hour traffic on the freeway to go to the Walgreens that had the Physician Formula that I wanted.

I’m so thankful that I was heading northwest…against the traffic and I was there in 15 minutes.  The Walgreens $4 and $4.50 Physicians Formula digital coupons came off on my receipt plus, I had a 10% off $15 coupon in my account that worked, too.  As soon as I got to my car, I submitted my receipt to Ibotta and I got credited for my purchase.

The screenshot that you see above is from last night and I took the screenshot because it was more than 12 hours and they had not approved my receipt.  Always take a screenshot when they take a super long time with approvals.  I know Ibotta was swamped with submittals but you need cover yourself with a screenshot if you need submit a trouble ticket.
