I grew up eating a vegetable, a starch and a protein and as an adult, most of my meals was a vegetable, a starch and a protein. However, most of the vegetables that I served was mostly out of can because canned vegetables are cheaper than frozen or fresh vegetables but canned vegetables have shelf stablizers in them to keep them from going bad, whereas, frozen vegetables are flash frozen and fresh vegetables are just fresh.
I submitted my receipt and I did get paid $1.95 for the avocados! Eating healthier can pay off. 🙂
